Effects of Teeth Whitening

The duration of bleaching is three to five years. This depends greatly on the care that each person has his teeth in terms of cleaning and feeding.

Thus, we suggest the use of whitening toothpastes and restrict the consumption of coffee, tea, wine or snuff. Furthermore, it is advisable to use four days, between six and twelve months, molds with carbamide peroxide gel.

The American Dental Association (ADA) states that no harmful effects to the teeth and does not cause weakness or fractures or cavities. All that can result is a tender gums or teeth in the first hour after removing the mold and, in general, during the first days of treatment, but is temporary.

This mellows with application of fluoride. Sometimes you need to replace fillings or composite resin restorations that are tooth colored, since its tone is certainly darker than that of your teeth treated.
