Dental Crowns. Crowns are items placed on the teeth play an important role both aesthetic and functional. There are several types are used in different situations and their placement should always be evaluated by your dentist.

1. What are dental crowns?
Coronas. Its use solves problems of aesthetics and function. The tooth crowns involve a sort of sheath that is placed over the tooth. Its function is to restore the aesthetics, function and protect the tooth.

2. When are they used?
In children usually are placed special crowns, metal, which only maintain a standby time of the tooth matures and can receive definitive care.

3. What types are there?

The crowns may have a metal frame is covered with porcelain or china wholly. The former are more resistant but require more tooth wear. The latter are less resistant but more aesthetic.
